In 2016, I worked as a Graphic Design Intern at the Hard Rock Hotel Bali.
Whilst I was there, I was tasked with designing all print marketing collateral for the upcoming Chinese New Year celebrations. The brief stated that the designs should reflect Chinese culture, the Hard Rock brand and Bali.
I decided to design a Hard Rock influenced, tattoo style monkey for the ‘Year of the Monkey’ celebrations, with red and gold prosperous colours and a Chinese backing pattern. The monkey’s gold embellishments were inspired by traditional Balinese costuming and headdress. In addition, I styled and took photographs of the buffet. I then implemented the graphics and images across a range of collateral, including money envelopes, posters, flyers and decorations.
